Installation of the heating mat

When calculating the area for the heating mat, remember not to lay it under furniture (standing cabinets directly on the ground, under the bathtub, under the washing machine). The heating mat is moved away min. 5 cm from the walls. Also, be sure to maintain a minimum distance of 90 mm between heating cables when laying heating mats, as shown in the photo. The width of the red mesh is 50 cm. The recommended way to install the heating mat:

• Small and medium floor tiles - the heating mat should be placed in a layer of cement-based adhesive. The mat is 3.4 mm thick.
• Floor tiles over 60 cm - the heating mat should be flooded with self-leveling screed and only glued tiles.
• Under floor panels, vinyl panels, wood parquet, linoleum - the heating mat should be embedded in a self-leveling screed with a thickness of min. 15 mm, on which we lay any of the above-mentioned types of finishes. Remember to set the upper temperature limit of the floor in the thermostat to 27°C.
