( number of products: 4 )The RAYCHEM E650C sensors are advanced devices designed to detect moisture and temperature on external surfaces as well as in gutters and downspouts. The E650C-R and E650C-G models are engineered for precise monitoring of weather conditions and automatic control of anti-icing systems, providing protection against frost and ice formation in critical usage areas. Both sensors are compatible with the Elexant 650c Modbus controller, enabling full integration with intelligent building management systems (BMS).
E650C-R: Sensor for Gutters and Downspouts
- Precise measurement of moisture and temperature: The rod sensor E650C-R allows for accurate monitoring in gutters and downspouts, detecting moisture and temperature to activate heating only under appropriate conditions.
- Durable brass construction: The fully protected brass rod, resistant to corrosion and mechanical damage, is ideal for demanding weather conditions.
- Optional mounting bracket: Copper and zinc brackets are available, allowing for easy adaptation to different gutter and roof materials. The bracket ensures stable mounting and allows for height adjustment of the sensor above the surface.

- Operating temperature range: –30°C to +80°C for temperature and –20°C to +30°C for humidity.
- Dimensions: Diameter 12 mm, length 105 mm, M6 thread.
- Connection cable: 4-wire cable, 6 m in length (extension possible).
E650C-G: Sensor for External Surfaces
- Low installation height: With a height of only 31 mm, the E650C-G sensor can be installed flush with the surface, which is ideal for high-traffic areas such as ramps, stairs, decks, and driveways.
- Resistance to heavy loads: The brass housing and complete encapsulation ensure high durability. The sensor withstands a load of up to 20 kN, allowing for installation on surfaces where pedestrian and vehicular traffic is present.

- Operating temperature range: –30°C to +75°C for temperature and –20°C to +30°C for humidity.
- Sensor diameter: 68 mm, height 31 mm (without sleeve).
- Connection cable: 20 m, 4-wire, allowing for flexible adaptation to the heating system.
Purpose and Application
The RAYCHEM E650C sensors were created to automate frost and snow protection systems. They provide precise monitoring and activation of heating systems that prevent freezing in sensitive areas, such as:
- Gutters and downspouts (E650C-R): They monitor the state of moisture and temperature, enabling effective prevention of freezing and structural damage.
- External surfaces (E650C-G): Used on ramps, driveways, stairs, and decks. The sensor activates heating under appropriate conditions, increasing safety for users.
