I installed modern electric heating in the bathroom

Electric floor heating in the bathroom and on the wall

The modern bathroom is significantly different from rooms built decades ago. Instead of cold tiles - comfortable electric underfloor heating under the tiles. The shower with a shower tray is increasingly being replaced by a minimalist and aesthetically pleasing floor set, also with heated floors.

Thanks to our authorized installer PRO RAYCHEM, ugly tubular radiators, on which towels used to be dried, are also disappearing from bathrooms. Today they are being replaced by convenient and invisible electric wall heating. As a result, finishing a room with marble is even more impressive. Users, on the other hand, can enjoy comfortable warmth even just after getting out from under the stream of hot water.

Sound like a dream from decades ago? Of course it does. But today it is within reach, and only one, because all systems can be controlled by a single RAYCHEM floor thermostat with a weekly program and the ability to manually increase the temperature. What's more, modern controllers have an adaptive function - so you set the time you want to go to the shower, and the thermostat will calculate by itself when to turn on the heating in the bathroom to provide you with optimal conditions.

The installation was done with the RAYCHEM T2Black-12 under-tile heating cable. The T2Black-12 cable is attached to the properly primed floor using hot stick adhesive, which is a standard part of every RAYCHEM heating kit.

Marble slabs 20 mm thick will be installed on the floor and walls. The heating cables, once fixed, were poured with a self-leveling screed about 6-7 mm thick. This treatment allows the surface to move safely and makes it easier to manipulate large marble slabs during installation. In addition, the self-leveling screed tightly surrounds the heating cables, eliminating air voids. As a result, heat is distributed more quickly and evenly across the floor, helping to prolong the life of the heating cables.

Large-format marble slabs will be glued onto such a prepared, leveled surface, using cement adhesive and a comb, providing an aesthetically pleasing and durable floor finish.
